Right now we are trying to come up with a bunch of fun games via zoom to play, and one that I'm planning on hosting is Box of Lies. If you haven't seen this game on Jimmy Fallon's show, it's a game where you get a box with something weird in it (say, Jeff Goldblum suspended in Jello) and you have to describe it to the other person.
You can lie or tell the truth, but they have to guess which one you're choosing. It's hilarious and I think creating the weird thing will be so much fun alone!
What fun zoom games are you playing lately? Share them in the chat!
In July, it's likely that your garden is in full bloom, but there's still much to do! From cutting off dead blossoms to your daily harvesting of things that have grown, assessing water sources and rotting, there is a lot to do this time of year!
Have you heard about people adding their names to photos of frogs on Instagram? It's the latest weird trend on the social networking app, along with doing the same thing to photos of cats and Harry Styles.
It seems as if once a frog or cat has been named after you, you aren't allowed to give it that name again. That's YOUR insta animal, no ifs, ands or buts! It's just another goofy trend among many when it comes to bored Gen Z kids.
Are you hot enough yet? I know I am. We only have AC in a couple rooms so much of our house gets really hot this time of year, which makes cooking a big, fat drag, even if you love it. When it comes to dessert, baking is out of the question, even if it is my favorite way to cook!
There are plenty of heartthrobs, action heroes, princesses and sidekicks from the 80s we all loved. Maybe we were even IN love with a few of them! But what happened to them all? Where are they today?
More and more states are jumping aboard the alcohol wagon, allowing patrons to buy to-go cocktails and kits to make them at home from area restaurants. Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker just signed one such law into action.
Unions exist for many reasons, one of which is to protect their workers from harm. So it's no surprise that the teacher's union in Seattle might be upset over the school reopening without engaging in negotiations for the health and safety of everyone involved.
Missouri's governor Parsons has shown no leadership through the pandemic, from inconsistently using a mask to participating in crowded events of well over 50 people. He refuses to issue a mask order and now, as he pushes for schools to reopen in the fall, he admits that kids will get the virus.
Donald Trump has ticked off another notch on his list of heinous things to do to the inhabitants of this planet. He's lifted some pretty heinous bans on bear hunting, like going after mamas and their cubs in their dens.
July is over halfway over and I've only managed to read three sci-fi books! Two were by the same author, so you can bet I haven't made a BINGO yet. Then again, I rarely do since I read what I'm interested in more than what's needed for a BINGO! It's been difficult at times this year to concentrate while reading, while other weeks it's my one true escape from what's happening right now. How about you? Have your reading habits changed during the pandemic?
As a Millennial, I'm used to getting a little heat about how much I love sparkling water and avocados.
Paintings that look lifelike always fascinate me. How can an artist make something from nothing to begin with, let alone make that something so lifelike and realistic? I was perusing the wildlife art created by Carla Grace and found myself thinking that each piece seemed as if it were in the room and alive with the artist.
